Tales of the Chain Mail Chicken – The Ice Chicken Tries to Escape!
by Darwin Wiggett on February 11, 2013 · 4 CommentsI brought the Chain Mail Chicken with me on the Winter Photo Tour and one of the tour participants took our little friend for a few days and put Mr. Chicken in some unusual situations all in the name of photography! Needless to say, I felt bad for our featherless friend especially when I saw him frozen in a block of ice and having to sleep outside by himself. And I can’t even mention the road kill shots!
After the abuse… I mean ‘creative’ photo sessions with the tour participant, I tucked Mr. Chicken into bed for some well deserved down time. The photos below were ones I took when I noticed that Mr. Chicken was trying to escape the (mean) photographer. Chain Mail has been treated for frost bite and looks to better times in the future with more friendly shooters!

I’ve heard cabin fever can be severe and push folks off the tracks in your part of the frigid world. Poor little clucker! Thanks for the chuckle.

One can only imagine what’s going through that little rubber brain of his. The stories he will tell….

I’ve read some article says that there are a number of picture styles which can be used when shooting in modes such as manual, aperture and shutter priority. The creative control modes can only be used as their own independent modes, but you can increase or decrease the level of their affect.
